love that dirty water

so my siblings are coming to boston in september. i'm trying to find things for them to do while they're here. today there was a groupon-type thing for segways that we were gonna do, but of course, once i looked at it, it was in yarmouth. on the cape. not in boston. stupid.

so what things do you suggest we do? i'm trying to get them to buy tickets to a red sox game, and we're going to new york. duck tour? red trolley tour? swan boats? what sayst you?

so this article had a listing of the world's prettiest airports. i have to admit, i've been to 4 or 5 of those included on this listing and i can't remember being in any of them and thinking "wow. how pretty." if i had to pick one, i guess i'd pick cdg in paris (pictured above for you), but i can't really give good reasons. maybe i just like going to paris?? in any case, i now think i should go to all these airports. mental note: to do.

hot fun in the summer sun

so after our fun weekend in florida over thanksgiving, my mom mentioned that maybe next year for xmas the family (the 6 of us) will just go somewhere for a week and rent a house together and spend time together instead of doing the big christmas exchange gifts thing. i think this is a FABULOUS idea. i imagine we'll stay stateside, but in case we want to go somewhere tropical, thought i would link to this site which has some great pictures of island oasises. oaisees? hmm..

ah crap. now i can't remember which place this is. i think st. maarten. i've never been but it looks fabulous. i'd love to go somewhere to get some more stamps in my passport...

and i've actually been to this island: aruba. its nice, and i'd go again, but no need if i don't have to...


i'll have to remember to look at these pics in a few months when the winter doldrums have taken over. but until then, i'm happy for the snow. oh! today (as i'm writing this not when you'll read it) was the first time i have seen snow this school year. love it. AND when i breathed out, i could see my breath. memories...

i have a sister now. did you know that? they (she and my brother, homie) got married during my blogging sabbatical, so i haven't really written about it (for which i am sure they are glad), but i def want to. some day. in any case, one thing i'm really looking forward to is making more money so that i can take my 3 siblings on lots of really cool trips. i love to travel and i think its great to see the world. so i've decided to write posts just for her so she can start to get excited about all the places to go. woo hoo!

my family visited me when i lived in france ... holy crap. 8 years ago. eek! and we went to london. so this picture is fabulous:


this is one of my FAVORITE cities in the world. or rather, two cities? buda and pest. LOVE it (them).

and then of course. THE city. paris. gay paris. this picture (where all these pictures are from) is not my favorite of paris, but i do love it.
